Introduction : 

         In Odoo, a By-product is an extra product that is created automatically when you complete a manufacturing order. You don’t need to create a second manufacturing order for it Odoo will record it for you when the main product is done.

Steps  how to work By product 

1. Manufacturing module 

    * The by product feature is managed within the manufacturing module, as it is part of the manufacturing settings.

    * Configuration > settings 

     * Click by product enabled  

2. After enabling the feature, the By-Products tab will appear in the Bill of Materials.

     * Create Bill of Materials → Add main product → Add by-product(s).

     * Create Manufacturing Order → The main product is produced → By-products are automatically created according to the BoM.

     * Stock Update → Both main product and by-products are added to inventory.
